The drilling operations of Pasargad Energy Company’s second owned onshore drilling rig, named Pasargad 31 (P-31), commenced on Friday, June 7, 2025, at the location of Sepehr-12 well. On Sunday, the 26-inch casing running and cementing operations for this wellbore were successfully completed.
Sepehr-12 is one of the eight development wells planned in the Fahliyan reservoir of the Sepehr-Jufair project, and its drilling has been assigned to Pasargad Energy by the Pasargad Exploration, Development and Production Company.
According to the plan, this well will be drilled and completed to a depth of 4,800 meters in the Fahliyan reservoir with a working pressure of 10,000 psi.
The P-31 rig, with a 3,000-horsepower capacity, is considered the country's most advanced and powerful onshore drilling rig. It has recently been added to the drilling fleet of Pasargad Energy and is equipped with the latest drilling technologies, including advanced control and instrumentation systems, a top drive, high-performance mud pumps, high-pressure blowout preventers, and solid control systems. The operation of this rig is managed by Ostovan Kish Drilling Company, which consists of skilled and experienced personnel.
Currently, Pasargad Energy is operating four drilling rigs simultaneously in the Sepehr-Jufair fields.
