Pezhvak Energy’s HSE department, in cooperation with the drilling operations department, held an emergency drill to ensure staff readiness in the face of accidents and emergencies. Hossein Shorab, Drilling Manager, and Meysam Kamali, Head of Operations, were among those present during the drill.
In this course, attended by senior drilling staff, theoretical and practical training for well emergencies was provided.
The well blowout simulation was implemented as the practical part of this training, in which the teams were able to control the blowout within the standard time frame and in compliance with safety principles. The drill included various steps such as emergency detection, danger notification, initial blowout control measures, and finally the complete containment of the blowout. All steps were carried out carefully and according to international standards.
