The EPD Contract and Professional Employer–Contractor Collaboration: The Key to Project Success
The closing ceremony of the Qezel Tappeh-3 exploration well drilling project was held with the attendance of senior executives from the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), the NIOC Exploration Company, Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company, as well as contractors and domestic manufacturers.
During the ceremony, speakers outlined the project’s key technical achievements and emphasized the critical role of the EPD contractual model, along with effective collaboration between the employer and contractors, as one of the main drivers behind the project’s success.
The event was attended by Dr. Farrokh Alikhani, Director of Integrated Planning at NIOC; Ali Pourkabirian, Legal Director of NIOC; Eng. Amir Moghiseh, Director of Investment and Business Development at NIOC; Seyed Mohi-al-Din Jafari, Director of Exploration of the National Iranian Oil Company; Azim Kalantari asl, Director of the Petroleum Industry Research Institute; Reza Noshadi, former CEO of the Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company; and other guests from the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC), NIOC Exploration Company, Pasargad Energy Development Holding, contractors of the Qezel Tappeh project, along with managers and the project team of Pezhvak Energy.The ceremony became a memorable showcase of collaboration among governmental oil sector entities, the employer, contractors, and project executors.
