Pezhvak Energy Engineering Services Company (PECO), with its project “EPD Drilling and Completion of Appraisal Well No. 3 at the Qezel Tappeh Field,” has won the Silver Award at the IPMA Global Project Excellence Awards 2026. This achievement marks the company’s second consecutive appearance among the top performers in this global competition, this time crowned with a new distinction.
The award was presented on September 18, 2026, at the IPMA Global Awards ceremony in Hiroshima, Japan, held in conjunction with the closing of the 35th IPMA World Congress. The Qezel Tappeh project had previously been selected as one of the three finalists in the “Construction, Engineering & Infrastructure” category.
The Qezel Tappeh project was executed under complex technical and operational conditions, including high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) drilling requirements, and had previously received the Silver Trophy at Iran’s National Project Management Award. Its success in the IPMA global assessment reflects not only the project’s technical achievements, but also the project team’s capabilities in leadership, managing complexity and stakeholders, innovation, teamwork, and value creation.
Being recognized among the leading projects at IPMA for the second consecutive year represents another step toward embedding project management excellence within Pezhvak Energy. Continuing to participate in such assessments helps the company enhance its knowledge and performance by identifying areas for improvement and drawing on global experience and best practices.
