The Rig-Up operation for the second owned onshore drilling rig of Pezhvak Energy, named (P-31) Pasargad 31, was successfully completed and prepared to commence drilling operations.
This rig is the first ultra-heavy onshore drilling rig in Iran with a power of 3000 horsepower, capable of performing complex drilling operations.
This operation was executed on Saturday, 26th of April 2025.
The expansion of Pezhvak Energy's onshore drilling fleet, along with the successful implementation of EPD projects, is one of the top priority programs for the growth of Pasargad Energy Development.
With the establishment of this drilling rig, the second rig in the Sepehr and Jufair project (EPD package for eight Fahliani wells) was set up, and considering the two rigs currently working on the seven Ilami wells in the field, a total of four drilling rigs are now operating in Pezhvak Energy's projects at the Sepehr and Jufair fields.
The Rig-Up operation of the P-31 drilling rig was conducted with strict adherence to technical and safety standards, and soon this rig will begin operations in the Sepehr and Jufair fields.
The addition of a 3000 horsepower drilling rig to the onshore drilling fleet is a significant step in advancing specific and complex projects.
